Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite ways to experience Magic Kingdom in the fall. I’ve been to the party before, and while Disney changes some details from year to year, much of what makes the night special stays the same: the Boo-to-You parade, the Sanderson Sisters, fireworks, trick-or-treating, costumes and a completely different atmosphere after dark.
If you’re considering Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026, here’s what you need to know before you go.
What Is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is a separately ticketed Halloween event held at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. It’s designed to be fun rather than frightening, with special entertainment, trick-or-treating, character appearances, Halloween food and merchandise, attraction overlays and plenty of guests in costume.
You do not need regular Magic Kingdom admission for the party if you’re entering with your party ticket at 4:00 PM or later.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 Dates and Times
For 2026, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights from August 7 through October 31.
August: 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30
September: 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29
October: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31
The party runs from 7:00 PM to midnight, but party ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4:00 PM. I would absolutely take advantage of that early entry. Those three hours give you time to get settled, eat, take photos or ride a few attractions before the party officially starts.
2026 Ticket Prices
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party requires a separate event ticket. For 2026, tickets range from $119 to $229 per person, plus tax, depending on the date.
Annual Passholders and eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket on qualifying party nights from August 7 through October 2, 2026.
Party nights can sell out, especially popular October dates, so I wouldn’t wait until the last minute if you have a specific night in mind.

What’s New for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026?
The big new addition for 2026 is an ever-changing dance party at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland with Stitch, Lilo and Angel. Stitch gets into Lilo’s costume trunk, and the theme changes along with his accessories throughout the night.
The Cadaver Dans also return, along with the party experiences people come back for year after year.

Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade
This is one of the things I would make time for instead of treating the party like a regular Magic Kingdom night. Mickey, Minnie and other Disney characters appear in Halloween costumes, Haunted Mansion favorites join the procession, villains take over the finale, and the Headless Horseman is part of the Halloween atmosphere that makes this event feel different from an ordinary park day.
The parade is offered twice nightly. Check the My Disney Experience app or the party guide on your event night for current showtimes.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
The Sanderson Sisters take over the Cinderella Castle stage with Disney villains including Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie and Maleficent. If you’re a Hocus Pocus fan, this belongs on the list.
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
Jack Skellington hosts this Halloween fireworks and projection show over Cinderella Castle. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy find themselves in a haunted-house adventure filled with ghosts, skeletons and Disney villains.
This is another party-exclusive experience I wouldn’t skip just to squeeze in another ride.
Trick-or-Treating Is for Adults Too
Yes, adults can trick-or-treat. And yes, you will probably leave with more candy than you expect.
Disney provides complimentary treat bags, although bringing a larger bag is not a bad idea if collecting candy is high on your list. Trick-or-treat locations are spread throughout Magic Kingdom and are marked on the party map.
If you have food allergies, ask for a teal-colored treat bag when you arrive. Disney offers allergy-friendly options at the party.
Characters and Halloween Costumes
One of the fun parts of MNSSHP is seeing characters you don’t normally encounter—or familiar characters wearing Halloween costumes. Jack Skellington and Sally are among the party favorites, and Mickey and Minnie appear together in Halloween attire at Town Square Theater in 2026.
Guests can dress in costume too, including adults, but Disney has specific costume rules for guests age 14 and older. Check the current official guidelines before putting together an elaborate costume.
Some Rides Get a Halloween Twist
If you want some ride time during the party, several attractions have extra Halloween touches in 2026. Space Mountain runs in pitch-black darkness with spooky music, Mad Tea Party gets special lighting effects, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor becomes a trick-or-treat location.
Plenty of regular Magic Kingdom attractions are also open during the event, including Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Pirates of the Caribbean and TRON Lightcycle / Run.
My Tips for Making the Most of the Party
Arrive at 4:00 PM. You paid for the ticket, so use the early-entry time. I’d rather get food and some regular park things out of the way before the party starts than spend expensive party hours doing them.
Pick your must-dos before you arrive. Five hours sounds like a long time until you start mixing a parade, fireworks, characters, trick-or-treating, attractions and snacks. You will not do everything, and you don’t need to.
Prioritize party-exclusive experiences. You can ride most Magic Kingdom attractions on another park day. You cannot see Boo-to-You on a normal Tuesday afternoon.
Check the entertainment schedule. Showtimes can change, so use the My Disney Experience app and the current party guide rather than relying on an old schedule you found online.
Bring a bigger candy bag if candy matters to you. Disney gives you a bag, but it can fill up quickly.
Dress for Florida, not just Halloween. It can still be hot and humid during Halloween party season. A cute costume stops being cute very quickly if you’re miserable wearing it.
Have a rain plan. These parties happen during Florida’s stormy season, and outdoor entertainment can be affected by weather. Check the forecast and bring whatever rain gear you’re comfortable carrying.
Is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Worth It?
That depends on what you want from the night. The ticket is expensive, especially on higher-priced dates, so I wouldn’t buy it simply as a way to get five hours in Magic Kingdom.
For me, the value is in the things you can’t do during a normal park day: Boo-to-You, the Hocus Pocus show, the Halloween fireworks, trick-or-treating, special characters and simply seeing Magic Kingdom transformed for the party.
If you go, I’d build the evening around those experiences rather than trying to conquer the entire park. That’s also how I travel now in general: decide what matters most, enjoy it, and stop trying to squeeze every possible thing into one trip.
